Trimmed Dresses

Often considered a "status symbol", these dresses were decorated with anything from fringe to tassles and everything in between. Trims were used as an embelishment and was often a testement to the families wealth. Trimmings could also be used to show support for the war. A millitary infulence can be seen in some that mimic the chevrons that appear on officer uniforms of both armies.
