Muskets and Memories
Boscobel, WI. is a little town located approximatly 27miles away from the mighty Mississippi River and is near Prairie Du Chein. The town hosts it's annual Muskets and Memories Civil War Weekened every year the first weekend in August. By far this is one of our groups favorite events, and I think the pictures speak for it. The town of Boscobel is home to one of the last remaining active GAR's in the country, hosts a live fire competion at it's sportsman's club, closes the main street downtown for an all out Street Dance with live music from Old Man River Band, and features the best battle in the entire state! Over 700 re-enactors grace this wonderful park in honor of those who fought, lived and died during the Civil War. Please enjoy the largest collection of photos so far this year, 2008, and we encourage you to join us next year in 2009 for another fantastic event at Boscobel!
We'd also like to send out a special thanks to Marie and Ken Leifheit , their commity and team and all who volunteer to make Boscobel's Muskets and Memories event a stellar success every single year! It is a thankless job that deserves recognition!
Thank you on behalf of the Historical Timekeepers!!!
